Getting started
Create your first developer project in minutes
Elevoire Dev is designed as a lightweight project management workspace for independent developers, freelancers and small development studios. A project name is the only required starting point; every other detail can be added when it becomes useful.
- Create and verify your account.Register with your name, email address and a secure password. Open the verification email to confirm that recovery messages reach you.
- Select New Project.Enter the project name you use in normal conversation, such as “Northstar Website Redesign.”
- Attach a client—or do not.Choose an existing client, select “Add a new client” and enter only a name, or leave the project unassigned.
- Add useful context.Choose a status, description, start date, deadline and common links. These fields remain optional.
- Build the project record gradually.Add tasks, notes, technologies, files, reminders and budget records from the project page.
Create one real project, add its production or staging link, write the next task, and add the nearest important deadline. That is enough to make the dashboard useful.
Daily orientation
Use the dashboard to see what needs attention
The dashboard is a calm daily overview rather than a reporting suite. It brings active projects, approaching work and recent project activity into one place so you can decide what to open next.
Active projects
Projects that are not completed or archived remain visible. Status labels make planning, in-progress and waiting work easy to scan.
Due soon
Upcoming task dates and project deadlines help surface the next useful action without requiring a sprint board.
Recent activity
Completed tasks, new links, reminders, budget changes and other project events provide a lightweight history.
Onboarding prompt
New workspaces receive a short setup path. Dismiss it once the first project has enough useful context.
What should stay off the dashboard?
Completed and archived work should not compete with active projects. Mark finished tasks complete and archive projects that you no longer need in the main project list. Their records remain available until you delete them.
Core workspace
Manage the complete lifecycle of a development project
Each project is the central record for a website build, application, maintenance agreement or other client engagement. It connects the client, status, deadline and working materials without imposing a formal methodology.
Understand project statuses
Scope, discovery or setup is still taking shape.
Development or delivery work is actively moving.
The project is paused for feedback, content or approval.
The main delivery is finished but the record stays available.
The project leaves active views without being deleted.
Edit, archive, restore or delete
Use Edit project to change the client, description, status and dates. Archiving preserves the project while removing it from active work; restoring returns it to planning. Deleting a project is permanent and removes its connected tasks, notes, links, technologies, reminders, files, budget records, payment-status records and activity history. Download anything important before deletion.
Can a project exist without a client?
Yes. Personal work, internal products and early opportunities can use “No client.” You can assign or change the client later from Edit project.
Client context
Keep lightweight client records beside the work
The client area is a compact contact layer, not a full CRM. Store the person or company connected to a project, then view their active work and recorded project budgets together.
Add a client during project creation
- Open the Client dropdown.
- Select Add a new client.
- Enter the client or company name.
- Save the project to create and assign the client automatically.
Select Add client details to save the minimal record immediately and open the full client editor in a new tab. Your project form remains open.
Build a complete client profile
- Contact name and company
- Email and phone number
- Website address
- Private working notes
- Related projects and budget summaries
Deleting a client does not delete their projects. Related projects remain in your workspace and become unassigned.
Working context
Keep links, tasks, notes and technologies together
The project page gathers the small pieces of context developers repeatedly need. Every tool is optional and remains attached to its project.
Important links
Save production, staging, repository, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Figma, hosting, Cloudflare, analytics, WordPress admin and custom URLs with clear labels.
Tasks
Add a title, due date, low/medium/high priority and short note. Complete, restore, edit or delete each task without configuring a board.
Project notes
Capture decisions, deployment instructions, content gaps and client feedback. Notes can be edited or removed later.
Technologies
Add short tags such as PHP, Laravel, WordPress, React, PostgreSQL or Cloudflare to preserve the technical context.
A practical project-page pattern
Keep only frequently used links, actionable tasks and decisions that would be expensive to forget. Source code and credentials belong in dedicated repositories and password managers—not project notes or uploaded files.
Important dates
Track renewals, maintenance and client follow-ups
Website maintenance reminders help independent developers avoid missed domain renewals, hosting dates, SSL expirations, plugin licences and follow-ups. A reminder can belong to a project, a client, both or neither.
Available reminder types
- Domain renewal
- Hosting renewal
- SSL expiration
- Plugin licence
- Maintenance deadline
- Client follow-up
- Contract renewal
- Custom reminder
Upcoming and completed reminders have separate views. Mark an item complete when handled, restore it if it becomes relevant again, edit the date or notes, or delete it permanently.
Add the next renewal when a project is created, not when the renewal becomes urgent. Include enough notes to identify the provider and expected action without storing passwords.
Small attachments
Store private project files in context
The file area is intended for small briefs, references, screenshots, PDFs and project documents. Private cloud storage keeps file bytes separate from searchable project metadata.
Upload and organize
- Open Files or the Files section of a project.
- Choose an optional project assignment.
- Select an allowed file and start the upload.
- Wait for the progress indicator and completion message.
If you upload without choosing a project, the file remains unassigned. Use its small edit control to assign or change the project later.
Supported attachments
Common images, PDF, text, CSV, ZIP, Word and Excel files are supported. The configured per-file limit is shown by the upload form and may vary by deployment.
Download retrieves the private object through your authenticated account. Deleting removes both the workspace record and stored object.
Source repositories, site backups, passwords, API keys, database exports, malware, very large media or materials you are not authorized to store.
Manual financial context
Track project budgets and payment status—without processing money
The project budget tracker helps developers record commercial context alongside delivery work. Choose a fixed total, hourly rate or per-task model, maintain the agreed total and record expected or received amounts manually.
Fixed total
Record one agreed project cost and revise it when scope changes.
Per hour
Store the hourly rate, estimated hours and current agreed total.
Per task
Store the task rate, estimated units and agreed total.
Payment-status records
Add a label, amount, pending or paid state, due date, paid date and contextual note.
No invoice is issued and no money is charged, collected, sent, received, held, transferred or verified. These are private records entered by the developer. Continue using your accounting, invoicing, banking and tax systems as the authoritative source.
Client profiles summarize recorded project totals and paid/remaining values across related projects. Deleting a payment record changes only your private reference data and cannot affect an external transaction.
Find context
Search the workspace without digging
Workspace search finds matching project names and descriptions, client names and email addresses, project-note text, and saved link labels or URLs. Type at least two characters for useful results.
- Use a client or company name to locate their profile and work.
- Search “staging,” “GitHub” or a domain fragment to find an important link.
- Search a remembered phrase from a project note.
- Press / outside a form field to open workspace search quickly.
The activity timeline is different from search: it records meaningful events such as project creation, completed tasks, new links, reminders, file actions and budget updates. It is useful for orientation, not as an audit-grade event log.
Personal settings
Manage your profile, security and workspace data
Profile and verification
Change your name or email. A changed email becomes unverified until you open a new verification link.
Password security
Change the password using the current password, or request a time-limited reset email from the sign-in page.
Appearance
Choose light, dark or system appearance. The system option follows your device preference.
Export and deletion
Download workspace records as JSON. Account deletion permanently removes the profile, records and uploaded objects controlled by the application.
What should I do before deleting an account?
Export the workspace, download any files you need, confirm external invoices and accounting records are safely stored elsewhere, and review the deletion warning. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Restricted operations
Use the private master console responsibly
The master console is restricted to the single database-authorized master account. Ordinary users receive no master access even if they know the route.
Platform overview
Review registered, verified, unverified and suspended account totals plus aggregate project, file and manual record usage.
User directory
Search accounts, filter their state and review account metadata and workspace counts.
Account controls
Suspend or reactivate access, send verification or password-reset email, and mark an email verified when appropriate.
Audit trail
Master account actions are recorded with the actor, target, action and date.
The master console shows account metadata and aggregate usage. It does not reveal user passwords, private project notes, client details or uploaded file contents.
Responsible use
Understand privacy, ownership and data boundaries
Your workspace is scoped to your authenticated account. You retain ownership of the content you enter and remain responsible for having permission to store client information and project materials.
- Passwords are adaptively hashed and never displayed.
- Private file downloads require the owning account.
- State-changing actions use request-forgery protection.
- Verification and password-reset links expire.
- Uploaded files should never be used as a credentials vault or source-code backup.
- Manual financial records are not evidence that a payment occurred.

Questions and edge cases
Elevoire Dev frequently asked questions
Is Elevoire Dev a payment processor or invoicing platform?
No. It only stores developer-entered budget figures and manual pending/paid records. It never moves, collects or verifies money.
Can I create a project without a client?
Yes. Choose No client yet, then assign a client later from Edit project.
Can I add a client without leaving the first-project form?
Yes. Select Add a new client and enter only the name. Saving creates and assigns it. Add client details opens the full editor in a new tab while preserving the project form.
What happens when I delete a client?
The client record is deleted, but related projects remain and become unassigned.
What happens when I delete a project?
The project and its connected tasks, notes, links, technologies, reminders, files, budget data, payment-status records and project activity are permanently removed.
Can an unassigned file be connected to a project later?
Yes. Open Files and use the small project-assignment edit control beside the file.
Are uploaded files public?
No. File objects are stored privately and downloads are served only after ownership is checked.
Can I track hourly or per-task project costs?
Yes. Select per hour or per task, then record the rate, estimated units and agreed total. These remain reference records only.
Can I export my workspace?
Yes. Settings provides a JSON export of profile information and structured workspace records. Download file attachments separately when needed.
Does the master account see private project content?
No. The master console is designed around account metadata, usage counts and access controls rather than private workspace content.
What should I do if a reset or verification email does not arrive?
Check spam, confirm the email address in Settings, wait before requesting another message, and contact support if delivery still fails.
Where should I store source code and passwords?
Keep source code in a version-control repository and credentials in a dedicated password manager. Elevoire Dev links to those systems but does not replace them.
Try a broader term such as projects, files, reminders, clients or account.
